1) Add the DTI App icon to your mobile device’s home screen for easy access

2) Using the app offline (without internet or data connection)
The DTI App can be viewed offline -- AFTER you have opened each individual lesson while connected to the internet, in order to read that lesson when disconnected.
PREPARATION FOR USING OFFLINE:
Step 1 -- be sure to add the DTI App icon to your home screen ("how to" in Tip #1) so the material will be available offline.
Step 2 -- The very first time the DTI App is launched, there must be an internet connection in order for the content to be initially loaded and cached for both iOS and Android versions. (if you are reading this you have successfully launched the App!)
Step 3 -- You must open each lesson while connected.
For example, if you want to read Lesson 1-1 while offline (perhaps while in "Airplane Mode" or you will be in a location where you cannot be connected to the internet), open Lesson 1-1 while connected BEFORE going off-line. Now, you should be able to access Lesson 1-1 whether you are connected to the internet or not.
NOTE: The links to email, external web pages and the videos will not funtion while offline.

3) Printing the Lessons
At the end of each lesson, you have the opportunity to view the lesson as a .pdf and to print it. (or visit our website for the entire curriculum for a free download).
4) Screen Rotation
You may fine it helpful to view in landscape mode, especially when discussing diagrams.
5) Close the App after a Session
When you finish using the app, close it down all the way, so the next time you open it, it will fetch fresh content, as we are continually updating images and vidoes in these early stages.
6) Keep your device's Operating System updated
To take advantage of all the features and benefits of the DTI App, it's important that you keep your operating System updated with the most recent Version.
7) Occasionally clear your device's Cache
It is a good idea to clear your browser cache because when we update the DTI App, your browser may use old files meaning you will not see lesson updates, images / graphs and videos. It also helps the DTI App run better on your device or computer.
For Safari devices (Apple), you can clear the cache by following these steps:
- Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad
- Scroll down and tap on Safari
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on Advanced
- Tap on Website Data.
- Scroll to the bottom again and tap on Remove All Website Data
- Confirm one more time you'd like to delete all data.
For Android devices you can clear the cache by following these steps:
- Go to settings
- Choose Apps
- Choose the specific browser
- Tap Storage
- Tap Clear cache
